#SmootsCSA is both an important part of our small farm business as well as the most fun! Below you’ll find everything you need to know about our CSA and can sign up for 2022 season.
What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an alternative sales avenue that nourishes community-farmer relationships. CSAs support farmers with working capital when it matters most (at the beginning of the season) in exchange for a share of the harvest throughout the season. Members can maintain a special connection with their farmers with opportunities to visit the farm and lend a helping hand when needed as well as weekly updates about the farm’s progress and even special member discounts.
What is Smoot’s CSA?
Smoot’s CSA members receive a weekly bouquet of fresh culinary and/or tea herbs that are carefully curated each week to pair well with seasonal produce. Each bouquet is accompanied by hand-picked, flavor-packed recipes to inspire your home cooking and maybe even enhance your culinary savvy.
Our herbal CSA offers members a wide variety of the herbs we grow each season, both well-known staples like cilantro, parsley and thyme as well as lesser-known gems like epazote, cinnamon basil and shiso.
As a member you’ll be invited to visit the farm to pick-up your bouquet and see how our herbs are grown. You also have the option to pick-up your share in Pullman. We are contemplating a delivery option as well.
Full details on pick-up arrangements will be decided in early spring.
When: Wednesdays, June - September (18 weeks)

We may offer delivery, but have not finalized a plan--if this interests you, let us know in the comment box below!
