#SmootsCSA is both an important part of our small farm business as well as the most fun! Below you’ll find everything you need to know about our CSA.

What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an alternative sales avenue that nourishes community-farmer relationships. CSAs support farmers with working capital when it matters most (at the beginning of the season) in exchange for a share of the harvest throughout the season. Members can maintain a special connection with their farmers with opportunities to visit the farm and lend a helping hand when needed as well as weekly updates about the farm’s progress and even special member discounts.
What is Smoot’s CSA?
Smoot’s CSA members receive a weekly bouquet of fresh culinary and/or tea herbs that are carefully curated each week to pair well with seasonal produce. Each bouquet is accompanied by hand-picked, flavor-packed recipes to inspire your home cooking and maybe even enhance your culinary savvy.
Our herbal CSA offers members a wide variety of the herbs we grow each season, both well-known staples like cilantro, parsley and thyme and lesser-known gems like epazote, cinnamon basil and shiso.
Our family is growing and we are expecting another baby in January 2023. We anticipate a busy season and cannot guarantee our attendance at the Pullman Farmers Market every week. As such, we are offering on-farm pick-up only for the upcoming season. We invite you to come walk the fields and see how your herbs are grown.
When: June through September 2023 (17 weeks), pick-up day TBD
Where: Pick-up your share on the farm (15 minutes drive from Pullman)
How much: $85 for the season ($5 a week)
