The feathery fronds of fennel are a delicious herb with an anise taste. We grow this fennel for the seed not the bulb, but we love sharing the flavor of these fronds with our customers.
They impart a level of freshness, licorice-like flavor and a bright green color to pesto, salsas, vinaigrettes and myriad sauces. Try them atop yogurt dips, seared meats or as an egg’s flavor mate. And you can’t go wrong tossing a few chopped fronds into fresh green salads or over roasted vegetables.
